I made this ring for the lolita meet last month (laser cut acrylic if anyone is curious). 30 were given away in goodie bags. I hope you ladies liked it!

My next garment will be a romper!  I bought a pattern for shorts and will draft my own overalls top to it.  This is the print I’m thinking about using for it.  I made this design in the earlier 2010.  Not sure if I’m completely satisfied with the color choices yet.
I think I’m okay with having combinations of painted and digital patterns for my grad show.. hmm

I finished this watercolor & gouache painting this morning at 6am.  I went to sleep for 3 hours and woke up late. I was late to class by an hour..  on finals day!  T__T
Anyway— I really like how this came out! I think I should continue with watercolor-ish paintings. This is a gift to the Oshima family who owns Mimio.  As I posted before— Mimio is closing its doors after 10 years of being in Old Town Pasadena.

Goodbye Mimio…

I was just told today that the store I’ve been working at since I graduated from high school is closing its doors this year.  No more Mimio.

I worked at Mimio part time for about two and a half years while I was attending FIDM the summer I graduated from high school.  I continued to work during my first term at Art Center, but had to quit due to a heavier workload at school. I earned enough to pay off all my loans to FIDM working at Mimio those two and a half years.

I started working again this term—since I’m on a light term and could use some extra spending money.  I  just started last month and now the store will be gone before January!  The staff of the store have always been like family.  Many of us have worked together for years.

All these memories I have and amazing people I’ve met. I’m sad to see it go.
